Samsara Couples Intensives, offered through the East Bay Mindfulness Center (EBMC), provide an in-depth therapeutic experience for couples. The program begins with a comprehensive couples compatibility assessment followed by a four-hour therapy session. Couples can opt for an additional four-hour session or subsequent follow-up sessions if desired.
Initially, each partner participates in a 1-2 hour virtual assessment with a provider, which examines emotional needs, conflict resolution styles, attachment types, and personality traits. A comprehensive report is then generated to guide the therapy session.
The sessions are facilitated by two providers matched to the couple's specific needs. EBMC therapists are skilled in conducting longer, intensive sessions, allowing for quicker progress compared to traditional weekly therapy. The 4 hour therapy session focuses on family of origin issues, communication styles, unmet emotional needs, trust and commitment issues and parenting challenges, all while maintaining a forward-looking perspective. Therapists utilize the following theories to guide the session: Imago, Internal Family Systems, Attachment, PACT, Gottman, EFT.
The fee for the intensive program is $6,650, including the evaluation and the four-hour session.
